Chapter 6: Fang Hits Town
In the Bloomingdale's shoe department, Peter's mom realized that he had a hole in his sock. She thought it was terrible of peter to go shopping for shoes with a big hole in his sock. Peter tried to wriggle his toe around so the hole didn't show. He thought, "My mother sure worries about silly things!" Sometimes parents and adult friends worry about the things you do. At Fudge's party, Peter was in charge of leading the games with the younger kids. His mother had a party book that said three year olds like to dance around with balloons. Even though he felt like one of the world's greatest living fools, Peter showed the kids how to dance and play games with the balloons.
